With the invention of the internet, there is virtually no question that cannot be answered, but the question has to be asked in order to be answered. LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google+ should all be updated at least two to three times per week to make sure the content is fresh and relevant, and Twitter should be monitored and updated two to three times per day. Utilizing sites such as Hootsuite.com can act as a social media dashboard, allowing the organization to manage all of its social media platforms from a single location.
Social media should also be utilized to create industry relevant conversations, and never be afraid of humor, as some of the best and most relevant conversations can result from posting funny pictures or interesting videos.
Additionally, the addition and inclusion of Video Content can greatly increase the SEO. “A day in the life of” type videos, as well as “Office Tours,” and “Company Interaction” videos are a great enhancements to an organizations website, Youtube, and other social media outlets.
Ultimately, the number one consideration for an organization is simply to BE FOUND with respect to the acquisition of top talent, and the final answer to this very important question is to do it in whatever way possible while utilizing the internet. Because, let’s face it, the internet is here, and it’s here to stay.
